Nearing the end of summer

Well...Summer is just about over. Nothing happy about that. A few things coming up in the pipeline, though! Eyes To See played opening night of Red's pub on the SHU campus and it was awesome. It was a great night. Awesome to see such support for music. Hopefully we converted some listeners to ETS fans. I think so. I was most impressed with the fact that we played some great rock tunes and about half of the crowd was singing along, but once I jokingly went into Call Me Maybe, all sang along. Time for some good music people! I have to say that song is still so damn catchy.

You may notice my new logo! Props and credit go to a good friend, and extremely talented designer. Aaron Rauth. Click here to view his site. I love the way he put this together. He's got skills and if ever, one day we make it, he will be the official graphic designer.

Keeping you updated on upcoming shows. More to come.

Until next time...

Today was a great day. Got a call yesterday to head up to Wallingford, CT to play a gig at a fundraiser for a great organization called The Artists' Loft. Click the hyperlink to learn more about it. It was a great set - played for about an hour and a half. I love playing fundraisers - especially one's with great causes like this. It was an art festival with a great family feel. I love standing up behind the mic and watching everyone work together to make something great happen. Thanks for the call to play, Hayley! I had a wonderful day.

Tomorrow starts another work week, and another week of playing in the newly established "beat lair." Not to be confused with the "beat lab," Located in Kinnelon, NJ in the basement of Skip. Finally, I was able to put together a comfortable set up where I can play and relax at the same time. More pictures to come- More shows to come as well. Keep your eyes peeled for updates via Facebook and Twitter.

P.S. - Don't forget to say thank you and I love you to those you care about.

Been a little sick the past few days, so I haven't been playing a whole lot, or been posting the weekly video. Hopefully I will pick it up next week, assuming I feel better. Still psyched on this new tune, still working on the final kinks. Hoping to get with Trevor (keyboard/vocals in my band Eyes To See) and work on some new writing material. Really digging the new Zac Brown Band Album- "Uncaged." Give it a listen when you get a chance.

It Begins:

Well, here it is. My first blog post on the site. Things are coming along nicely with the site. Working on it during my spare time after work, when I am not holding a guitar. The thing I like about the Weebly set up, is that it nice and easy for quick updates. I am not trying to build a first class, unforgettable site. Just something that shows what I love to do, and some place to learn a little bit about me. The video of the week has been a bi-weekly post the past few weeks, but I'll be back with another soon. I actually had a request for one which is cool. Stay tuned for shows on shows coming up in the next few months. I'll be getting around the local scene trying out my solo act (Don't worry, the band will still be strong). A few new songs in the pipeline. I am particularly psyched about this new one that my roommate and I have been collaborating on. It is much darker than my usual theme of a love reflection or some kind of inspirational home feeling. I look forward to keep expanding my original tunes. Had a show that was back home this weekend, and it was great success (Borat Voice). For about 100 people, in the rain under a tent. We were rockin' to some older tunes, some originals, and goofy covers. After a few, everyone was shouting at the top of their lungs. I love playing parties like that, particularly anniversary parties. Happy 25th Mr. and Mrs. DeFeo, I am grateful to have shared a special day with you guys, and I hope that my rendition of Edwin McCain's I'll Be helped make it more special. Here's to 25 more years, and remember Mr. D-The Fireball sneaks up on you. Happy Graduation to Tim, Paul, and Schmells.

Back to the grind. Looking forward to getting some shows set up in the next few weeks. Check out the Upcoming Shows Tab for the list of upcoming shows! Until next time...
